Soquel Creek
Water District provides a challenging working environment that
encourages and supports team problem-solving. The District's staff consists of approximately
42 employees assigned to five departments:
Administration, Engineering, Financial/Business Services,
Conservation and Field Customer Service and
Operations and Maintenance.

The District is
located 30 miles north of Monterey and 80 miles south of San
Francisco, in Santa Cruz County, along the Monterey Bay. The
service area encompasses seven miles of shoreline and extends
from one to three miles inland into the foothills of the Santa
Cruz Mountains.

A District application
form is required. Resumes are accepted along with
the application form. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of the
completed application form(s). Postmarks and faxes will not be
accepted. Failure to complete the application form(s) and to

be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on review
of the Application For Employment. The most qualified
candidates may be invited to participate in the selection

pre-employment
requirements
All
offers of employment are contingent on a satisfactory
background investigation, proof of a good driving record, and
successful completion of a District paid physical. You may be
required to provide, at your own cost, an original, current
California DMV Driver Record Report. The District paid
physical examination includes drug and alcohol testing, and
may include physical abilities testing. In accordance with the
United States Immigration and Naturalization Service, you are
required to provide proof of your eligibility to work in the
United States on your first day of employment with the
District.
