Can you
believe it? The District is now offering
$250 rebates to customers who replace their older pre-1992
toilets with the new high-efficiency toilets (HETs).
The low-flow toilet rebate ($75) ended on December 31,
2006. Note: You must turn in an application
with receipt within 90 days of purchase.
which
toilet models qualify for a rebate? You
can pick out any high-efficiency toilet
on the market that flushes 1.28 gallons or less (This includes
dual-flush toilets). We strongly recommend you select a WaterSense
approved toilet to ensure it is a high-efficiency toilet
and that it flushes well. Adjustable
flush volume toilets are not rebated.
See below for a list of local retailers.
California Urban Water Conservation Council also maintains a
list of HETs that have been tested for flush performance. Click
here to see info on HETs.
