materials are available for business to encourage customers to
save water. Table tent signs requesting that customers request
water are available for restaurants. Linen and towel reuse
cards for water conservation are available to hotels in the
Soquel Creek Water District area.

if only by quickly identifying and repairing leaks, can lead

Bay. To assist you, we have developed water awareness table
tents, menu decals, and decals for placement on your restroom
mirrors all provided free-of-charge. We thank you for helping us reach your

Leaking
fixtures can waste thousands of gallons of water a year. Our
restroom mirror decals ask guests of your business, hotel or
rental property to contact the management if they notice
water leaking and reminds them to use water wisely.
Table tents and menu
decals: Estimates
show that to serve a single 8-ounce glass of water in a
commercial setting can consume 40-64 ounces of water when you
consider washing and rinsing activities. Our table tents and
menu decals say "Water is Precious on California's
Central Coast. Limited water supplies make it necessary to
serve water only when you request it. If you would like a
glass of water, please ask. Thank you." This requires the
server to refrain from automatically serving water. Let your
servers know to ask the patrons if they would like
water.

Water conservation signs that go on the vanity and the
bedside table let the hotel guest choose to use the towels
and linens again are provided free of charge to hotels in
